Getting Started

Upon installing the app on your Shopify store, you will be presented with the Fonts page.

From this page you can activate new fonts, upload custom fonts, and manage each of the font settings.

Preview Google Fonts

On the Fonts page, you will see a section dedicated to the free Google Fonts.

The top part of this section contains all the fonts you currently have activated, and the bottom section is a list of all free Google Fonts.

From the bottom section list, you can scroll through and find a font you like the look of, and click the little magnifine glass icon at the end of each font row to open the preview mode.

The preview mode will open as a modal popup showing you the name of the font, the category of the font, and all the variations of weight and style of the font.

You can also change the dummy text to see how a specific piece of text may look in this font. Once happy, you can hit the 'Activate' button in the bottom right of the popup.

Activating Google Fonts

On the Fonts page, you will see a section dedicated to the free Google Fonts.

Once you have clicked the little preview icon found at the end of each of the font items, you will find an 'Activate' button.

Clicking this will activate the font, close the preview modal, and will then appear in the top section of the Google fonts. From here you can then control the font settings.

Controlling Font Settings

At the top of the Google fonts and Custom fonts sections, any font you have activated or uploaded will be displayed. These are the fonts you wish to use on your store, but will need settings applied before they become effective.

At the end of each of the activated or uploaded font item you will find a little settings icon. Click this icon to open up the font setting modal popup.

From here, you can control what the font applies to, the weight of the font, the font size, the letter spacing, then line height, and finally the font colour.

Simply input your values and settings, and toggle the font on and off for the specific elements you wish to affect. For example, you could toggle on the H1 and a tags, meaning that font will only apply to those two elements on your store front.

Uploading Custom Fonts

Navigate over to the Fonts page and see the Custom fonts section on the right.

The top part of this section contains all the fonts you currently have uploaded, and the bottom section is a drag and drop uploader.

From the bottom section uploader, you can drag your font file onto it which will upload the font to the app. We store your fonts for you so no need to upload into the files section in Shopify or the theme itself.

Once a font is uploaded, it will show in the top section of the Custom fonts section. From here you can control the font settings as explained in the section above.

If you are on the free plan of our app, limits are enforced for the amount of custom fonts allowed and their file sizes.

This uploader will allow any type of font file including Adobe Font files.

Adobe Fonts

To allow the use of Adobe fonts, you will first need to head over to your creative cloud platform and find the font section. Choose the font you wish to use and download the font files to your machine.

Once downloaded, you can then head over to our app and upload them into the Custom fonts section.

You can then use and customise the Adobe fonts like any other font within our app.

Deleting Fonts

To delete a font first open the font settings up by clicking the little settings icon found at the end of your activated font items.

Once the font settings modal popup is open, you can find a little delete button in the bottom left hand corner. Clicking this will remove the font from the activated fonts section, and if it was a custom font will also delete the file from our servers.

This cannot be undone and the font file will be removed for good.

In regards to deleting Google fonts, it will simply remove any font settings assigned to the font, and place it back in the bottom section list of the Google Fonts.

Deactivating & Activating Fonts

To deactivate a font first open the font settings up by clicking the little settings icon found at the end of your activated font items.

Once the font settings modal popup is open, you can find a 'Deactivate' button in the bottom left hand corner. Clicking this will deactivate the font so it wont make any affect on your store front anymore.

All your font settings for this font will remain in place incase you wish to active the font again at a later date.

Activating the font is the same process but clicking the 'Activate' button in the bottom left of the font settings modal popup.

App Visibility

Head over to the Settings page to view the available settings.

You will find an option for 'Disable App'. This will allow you to turn the app on or off whilst leaving all fonts in their current state, yet wont have any affect on your store front.

All fonts and font settings stay untouched but wont make any affect. Even fonts that are active wont be affected on the store front if this option is set to Disabled.

Upgrading / Downgrading

Within the cog icon in the top right hand corner of the app sits an option called Subscriptions which shows your current plan and all other available plans.

If you are wanting to downgrade, keep in mind your current limits will become active again which may prevent you from uploading any more fonts.

Support

Within the cog icon in the top right hand corner of the app sits an option called Support. Clicking this will take you to the support page where you can fill out the form and wait for our speedy developers and support staff to give you a helping hand.
