AI Tagit

Documentation

Using AI Tagit couldn't be any more simple. We have tried to make the interface reflect aspects of Shopify UI to keep consistency and familiarity when switching between Shopify admin and our app.

Feel free to let us know you?re feedback, thoughts, and improvements and new features and functionality you wish to see within the app.

Generating Tags
Within the Products Tab located in the top menu bar, you will find a table listing all the products the app has synced from your shopify account. Each of these products show an image, title, date created or last updated, current tags, and a status for if the product has been generated and pushed back to shopify.

By clicking on a product row or using the checkboxes from the first column of the table, a Generate button will appear in the top right hand corner of your page. Upon clicking this a new page will load with the product/s selected and their new generated tags. Keep in mind each time you click the generate button a API call will be made.

Once tags have been generated for your chosen products, you will be provided a list of each product selected and their new tags. At this stage you can simple click the little X located at the end of each tag for those that you don?t want or don?t work for the product.

You can now save and push your new tags. Todo this, in the top right hand corner of each product element you will see two buttons, 'Replace all Existing Tags' and 'Append to Existing Tags'. The first button will remove all existing tags and replace with the new generated tags, whereas the second button will append all new tags also keeping the existing product tags already set for the product.

Once your choice of saving is made, you will see a 'Completed' status where the two button sat. This product is now saved and pushed to your Shopify product.

Note: We only sync the first main image for each product as this reduces your API usage when generating.

Generating Tags via the Shopify Product Page
When viewing a product within Shopify, clicking the 'More Actions' dropdown in the top right hand corner has a quick link to the AI Tagit app. This will take you directly into the tag generating page for that product. Again keep in mind this will use 1 API call.

Generating Bulk Tags via the Shopify Product Listing Page
When viewing the Products page within Shopify, you can select multiple products via the checkbox on the left of the table. The choose 'More Actions' and scroll to the bottom of this drop down menu. You will find a quick link to AI Tagit app. Upon clicking this you will be taken directly into the tag generating page for these products. Again keep in mind for each product selected it will use 1 API call each.

Viewing Products
Within the Products Tab located in the top menu bar, you will find a table listing all the products the app has synced from your shopify account. Each of these products show an image, title, date created or last updated, current tags, and a status for if the product has been generated and pushed back to shopify. For products that have many tags we purposely cut off the second row to illustrate more tags exist, and we append a little eye icon at the very end of the row. Clicking this eye icon will expand the row showing you all tags for the product.

Resyncing
When you first install AI Tagit app we sync all your Shopify products to our system. As time goes and new products are created or updated you may find you need to resync products again. AI Tagit gives you two options, 'Resync only new and updated products' and 'Clear all and resync all products'. The first option will look for any product that doesn?t exist within our system or that does exist but has a different title or image and add or update it. Whereas the second option will remove all products from our system, and then sync all Shopify products again.

Note: We only sync the first main image for each product as this reduces your API usage when generating.

Settings
Within the settings page, located in the top menu bar, you can define the language in which you want the product tags to be returned in, the limit of tags returned per product, and the confidence level of tags. For example the language is set to English by default but you may want them returned in French (fr), and you may only want a limit of 20 tags to be returned, with a confidence level of 70% plus. See the settings page for more detailed information on confidence levels.

If you want all tags possible to be returned simply set the limit to -1.

Confidence
See the below video on how to change the confidence level for tags being returned.

In the video you will see us set the default confidence level of 15. This means anything with a confidence level of 15% of above will be returned. You also see us set a confidence level of 40%. Again this means we only want to return tags with a 40% + confidence level. This allows you to refine the more important tags for the product image. We also set a confidence level of 0 which will return all tags, and a confidence level of 25% which we think is a nice sweet spot.

Pricing
Pricing works based on our API usage. Each time you generate tags for a product, this counts as 1 API Call. If you were to generate 20 products at the same time, this works the same, so 20 API Calls.

Each price plan allow different amount of API calls and if you find you need more, simply upgrade the price plan via the the Dashboard panel.

Cancel / Delete Account
You can delete our app via your Shopify apps page, which in-turn cancels your current package. Please note that this is irreversible and all your assets will be fully removed instantly. All personal data we may hold on you or your shop will also be fully removed and a member of our team will double check this has happened within a 48 hour period from the initial deleting.
