Description
CaseMate makes it super easy to control how the customer names and addresses are stored within Shopify and third party apps.
A challenge for non Shopify Plus users is that you cannot modify the checkout process, and for this reason customers can add their name and address in any format they wish.
Some customers will use all lowercase, others all uppercase, and the really annoying one, a mixture of cases.
Currently there is no automated way to catch this and modify the details of the customer. You have to wait until you go to fulfil and realise the address label looks messy and needs retyping. Opening up the possibility for mistakes, taking your precious time, and ultimately costing money.
How the app works
We wait for an order to come in, and quickly modify the name and address to be case correct.
The customer is then updated within Shopify, which causes an update webhook to fire which other thirdparty apps can listen for.
This should mean the customer has the correct case name and address in Shopify and thirdpaty apps.
